What will the contract negotiations mean for WWE's new television deal?

Let's be honest for a second.

If contract negotiations between Bryan and WWE break down, it could have disastrous effects on the future of Smackdown Live. Not only is that evident by the fact that WWE just signed a deal with Fox to broadcast Smackdown Live in 2019, but also by the fact that WWE is going to need a fan favourite like Daniel Bryan in order to capitalize on the deal.

Think about it! While AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena will all help drive ratings to blue brand on its new channel, it would be Daniel Bryan that would really put the product over the top. With that being said, if something falls through or WWE gets angry at Bryan over how negotiations went down, it would be a disaster for the blue brand.

In the end, WWE absolutely needs Daniel Bryan to help make this deal between them and Fox work and that depends on whether Bryan will still be apart of the company or not. Again, maybe Cena is just trying to help his brother in law get the max deal for his family, but if it's something more then that, the results could be absolutely disastrous for everyone involved.
