What happened to WWE's plan to build things up for a while? It made sense from the standpoint that WWE would be able to slowly build towards something with Rousey and maybe reach the main event of WrestleMania in the process, but it seems like WWE is scrapping that for a spur of the moment opportunity.
Maybe this would have been better if Stephanie McMahon was involved in some form or fashion, but it just seems like WWE is wasting a main event match on a B level pay-per-view. Not only that, the story behind the match is a spur of the moment challenge from Jax to Rousey, which seems like lazy storytelling at best.
More on that later, but for now, the problem is that WWE is wasting her first title opportunity on a B level pay-per-view in a storyline that has about as much depth as the kiddy pool. Again, this doesn't mean that WWE couldn't have put her on the pay-per-view, or even given her a title shot in the process, but some better storytelling should have been involved.
