Believe it or not, this isn't the first time that Cena and Nikki have broken up. The couple first broke in an earlier season of The Total Divas Reality show but reconciled during another episode. It is also worth noting that the breakup was used as a cliffhanger at the end of that season, which was followed up with a premiere episode of them working out their problems
With that being said, it's pretty obvious that Bella and Cena have done things in the past to further their careers and help WWE in the process. Whether this is the case this time or not remains to be seen, but the fact that Nikki is claiming that how the breakup happened will be addressed in the upcoming season of Total Bellas is a sign of it being publicity motivated.
