#3 Authority figures

One thing The WWE Universe really despises are authority figures and while they are supposed to hate these individuals, they shouldn't be doing it to the point where they want it to end. In fact, in storytelling, both a protagonist and an antagonist most exist in order to tell a fulfilling story.
Think about it! Think for a second about all the hatred that Shane McMahon has been able to garner since he went heel with his best in the world gimmick. Not only is he the perfect man to help establish a new babyface, but his involvement with other heel characters is raising their profiles and making the story more interesting.

If nothing else, WWE needs authority figures more than ever and fans are ridiculous for not realizing it. In fact, without authority figures on both Raw and Smackdown Live, what is there really to fight about? Sure, you can have the heels be the de facto heel, but that only works for so long and doesn't always lend its self to an overarching storyline.
