#4 Roman Reigns could become a double champion
A double champion angle involving Roman Reigns would be very polarising. When Sasha Banks and Bayley held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships and the WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships, fans either loved it or hated it.
The concept of the double champion is one met with backlash. This is because one person with two titles causes a lack of opportunity across the remaining roster.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
With Roman Reigns being the main man on SmackDown, the WWE Intercontinental Championship would be the other title he could go for. If Reigns went through fan favourites AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn en route to winning the belt, it would be a wildly unpopular decision.
To give Roman Reigns the Intercontinental title and make him a double champion would be a surefire way to send further heel heat in his direction.
#3 Roman Reigns could turn on Paul Heyman
When Roman Reigns joined forces with Paul Heyman, it solidified his heel turn. Until then, there was uncertainty surrounding Reigns’ new persona. His allegiance with the former advocate of Brock Lesnar is both exciting and enthralling.
Heyman and Roman Reigns have a long history. For years, Heyman was at the side of Lesnar, who is arguably Reigns’ greatest foe. Reigns and Lesnar may have done the fighting, but it was Heyman who did the talking. Heyman’s trash talk cuts deep and tattoos on the memory. He shot hard on Reigns every chance he got; dissing him, his family and his ability.
All this history makes their relationship very interesting, and the fact that it was all Roman Reigns' idea turns that interest into intrigue.
If it turns out that Roman Reigns had only connected with Heyman to lure him into a false sense of security and then turn on him down the line would be fascinating. If Reigns were to do this, it would be a vindictive, vengeful and unforgiving move of a true heel.
