#1 Jinder Mahal to Monday Night Raw
It should probably be obvious that Jinder Mahal's reign as United States Champion wouldn't last long, but WWE made a powerful statement by having Mahal drafted to Raw only to lose the belt to Jeff Hardy moments later. Not only did the decision mark the second time in a year Mahal had a title reign cut short, he also seems to just a replacement for The Miz on Raw.
Of course, WWE could always decide to do something with him like they did on Smackdown Live but it's not very likely that WWE is willing to recreate that experiment again. Furthermore, with babyfaces like Balor, Rollins, Strowman and Reigns on Raw, they are going to need a villain character like Mahal to play off of.
Unfortunately for Mahal, he will likely come up on the losing end of many of those encounters, which is only going to drive him further and further down the card as time goes on. In the end, he is decent on the mic and capable of drawing some pretty strong heat from the crowd, but there are others who can do it better and are easier to build a storyline around.
