If Cody Rhodes thought his journey as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion would be easy, he definitely is mistaken. Already on SmackDown, The Bloodline under Solo Sikoa is once again after The American Nightmare. The faction's newest debutant Jacob Fatu led an attack on Rhodes which broke his ribs.

This alone is enough to estimate the danger Rhodes is in. The Bloodline attacked him last week on SmackDown and they could once again humiliate him in the upcoming episode of the blue brand. The Solo Sikoa-led faction could beat Rhodes in a way no one could ever imagine.

Madison Square Garden is the same place where Dusty Rhodes in 1977 faced Billy Graham and beat him. However, Dusty's title change and reign weren't recognized. 47 years later, his son Cody Rhodes returns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Hence, to spoil the party, The Bloodline along with Jacob Fatu could beat Rhodes and his friends to a pulp and walk away with his title. This scenario could also light a fire within The American Nightmare to get back on his feet, pursue The Bloodline, and eventually put an end to Solo Sikoa in a potential singles match at SummerSlam.

Ex-WWE host believes the promotion must book Cody Rhodes against the top SmackDown star at SummerSlam

Based on how the current storyline is turning out, it seems Cody Rhodes will face Solo Sikoa in a singles match at the upcoming edition of SummerSlam. While that match will indeed be exciting to watch, an ex-WWE host wants to see The American Nightmare against Cody Rhodes.

During an episode of The Wrestling Matt, ex-WWE host Matt Camp said instead of Cody vs Solo, he would like to see Cody vs Orton at SummerSlam. Camp said a match between Cody and Orton is what the championship picture needs. Matt Camp said:

"I would like it not to be Cody and Solo at SummerSlam. I would like it to be Cody and Randy. I think that's money. I think if done correctly, that's the shot in the arm the entire championship picture needs."

A potential match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton at SummerSlam would be historic due to the history they share. However, before that, it will be interesting to see how Rhodes is booked at Money in the Bank. Given the current direction, it seems he will team up with Orton and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline.
