Former commentator Jim Ross waves goodbye to 21-year-long WWE career

Jim Ross ends his WWE career

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has revealed that he will be officially ending his tenure with the WWE this week.

The legendary ringside announcer tweeted the following.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Ross and Vince McMahon parted ways after a Ric Flair oriented incident during a WWE 2K15 video game discussion which was hosted by Ross. Flair, who was believed to have been intoxicated at that time, embarrassed the WWE officials on TV.

That blame for Flair’s actions was put on Ross and Good Ol’ JR has stated on his blog that he is thinking about writing what happened on that SummerSlam weekend.

"No, I haven't been invited to Summerslam to be involved in the WWE2K15 video game presentation. Yeah, it's a funny question but you wouldn't believe how many people are asking," Ross wrote at jrsbarbq.com. "I have no plans to be in L.A. during Summerslam time unless I'm there to do work for Fox Sports or Podcast One. That weekend (in 2013) will be an interesting read when I write about it some day. It could be embarrassing for some."

Here is that whole segment where the incident happened.
