A WWE Superstar could be wrapping up his business on the SmackDown brand. The former United States Champion has received tons of love for almost two years from the audience. However, following a crushing defeat, LA Knight could make his last appearance on the Friday Night Show this week.

The Megastar faced Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames. The Japanese wrestler had already gotten to LA with his mind games and ambushes on SmackDown leading up to the PLE. The King of Strong Style had said that he would target Knight's insecurities to destroy him, and surprisingly, he did keep his word.

With this, while Nakamura has become a three-time WWE United States Champion, LA Knight is once again without a title. The 44-year-old had such a grip on The Megastar’s mind that he made Knght drop the title just before he entered the ring to defend it in Vancouver.

Seeing that Nakamura has already gotten inside the head of LA, it is possible that the latter may not request a rematch. Since the babyface has no fodder to challenge Cody Rhodes for his title, he may speak to Nick Aldis and demand a brand switch to RAW. However, all of this is speculation, and there has been no official confirmation.

Nick Aldis may need to make the harsh decision of officially dethroning a WWE champion

Nick Aldis is in huge peril right now. The SmackDown General Manager may be forced to take Bianca Belair’s title away without giving her a fighting chance. Belair’s partner and the other half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jade Cargill, is down with a vicious injury.

According to WrestleVotes report on Sportskeeda's Backstage Pass, The Storm may not be medically cleared to compete for a long time and could miss the 2025 Royal Rumble. The women’s tag team division will not have fighting champions till February 1, 2025.

This would be a big problem for WWE since the women’s division shares the tag titles on all three brands. Moreover, the reigning champions were already defending their belts in Triple Threats and Fatal Four-Way matches, hinting several teams are gunning for the doubles gold.

Thus, if the management wills it, then Nick Aldis will be forced to officially dethrone a hundred percent fit Bianca Belair. It would be interesting to see what lies for the reigning women’s tag champs in the future.
