Gunther's recent tomfoolery has got the World Heavyweight Champion in trouble, with Goldberg telling him, 'You're next.' It looks as though the WWE legend will eventually lock horns with The Ring General, but he might not challenge for the title at Survivor Series.

The RAW roster is stacked with talent who all want to dethrone the Imperium leader. After losing the title at WrestleMania XL, Seth Rollins might be prepared to go back to his villainous ways to get the job done.

However, there's a key reason why Rollins might turn heel if he were to take the title from Gunther at Survivor Series. He's still looking to get his hands on CM Punk, who is taking a leave of absence after a grueling win against Drew McIntyre.

Punk beat McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood last Saturday (October 5). He then appeared on RAW and told the WWE Universe he was unsure when he'd see them again.

Rollins interrupted The Second City Saint after his promo and told him that he hoped he recovered so he could retire him for good. The former two-time Universal Champion's obsession with ending The Best in the World's career could mean he turns heel.

If The Visionary dethroned Gunther at Survivor Series, it could set up a mega feud with Punk at WrestleMania 41. The Straight Edge Savior could return at Royal Rumble, win it for the first time in his career, and choose Rollins as his opponent at The Show of Shows.

Gunther doesn't need to face Goldberg amid their bust-up at Bad Blood

Goldberg was in the crowd at Bad Blood to watch the premium live event but got in the ring after Gunther riled him up with a promo. He called the WCW icon a bad father, which resulted in him trying to scrap with the Austrian Superstar.

Sami Zayn was instead the one who got his hands on the champ but would lose in their title match the next night on RAW. Fans anticipated Goldberg would appear and potentially cost the World Heavyweight Champion, but that didn't happen.

Triple H hinted he'd be holding more talks with the 57-year-old former Universal Champion. Fans felt that would lead to a RAW appearance, but the title match went ahead without any interference.

There is no reason for Gunther to face Goldberg as he continues to shine as the face of RAW. A win over The Myth might not be as impactful as it once was, given his age and recent matches in the WWE that left much to be admired by some fans.
