Many top stars are expected to participate in or return to the upcoming WWE SummerSlam PLE; one of them is Roman Reigns. Interestingly, his return could come via a request from a member of The Bloodline.
Fans have not seen Roman Reigns in WWE since WrestleMania 40 where he dropped the Undisputed Championship to Cody Rhodes. Since then, Solo Sikoa has assumed the position of The Tribal Chief and made several changes to the group's lineup, adding Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu while kicking out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman. From the looks of it, the former North American Champion will further solidify his status as The Tribal Chief by challenging Cody at WWE SummerSlam.
It was reported that Cody vs. Solo was one of the planned matches for WWE SummerSlam 2024. This match is increasingly becoming possible as both men have already crossed paths in the Stamford-based promotion. Interestingly, this could also lead to Sikoa inviting the original Tribal Chief to SummerSlam.
If Sikoa vs. Rhodes is made official for SummerSlam, Solo could get cocky and challenge Roman to acknowledge him as the new Tribal Chief after the main event. Since Reigns is rumored to return at The Biggest Party of the Summer anyway, episodes before the premium live event could be used to tease the return of the former champion and explain why Solo vs. Cody will main event the show.
Apart from Roman Reigns, which Bloodline member could also return at WWE SummerSlam?
As mentioned above, Solo's first order of business upon assuming the leadership of The Bloodline has been to change the lineup. Jimmy hasn't appeared on WWE television since he was attacked, which was reportedly a way for him to be written off due to an injury. However, a recent report has indicated that he is now medically cleared, just in time for The Biggest Party of the Summer.
According to wrestling analyst Sam Roberts on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Jimmy Uso could return on the August 3, 2024, premium live event in Cleveland. On the other hand, The Head of the Table could return at Survivor Series.
"Jimmy's still got to come back, you know. SummerSlam might be when Jimmy [Uso] comes back. It's possible, and then maybe [Roman Reigns] comes back like at Survivor Series or something like that," he said.
It will be interesting to see what will happen next in The Bloodline's story in the coming weekly shows of the Stamford-based promotion and the PLE in Cleveland, Ohio.
