Several WWE Superstars have been changing their characters in recent months. While some are joining the good side, others have taken a different route, much like Tommaso Ciampa has seemingly done on Friday Night SmackDown.

Tommaso Ciampa has been on WWE SmackDown for a while now, continuing his partnership with Johnny Gargano as DIY. While they were one of the most successful tag teams in NXT, they arguably aren't doing well while pursuing the Motor City Machine Guns' WWE Tag Team Championship. Due to months of frustration, The Blackheart has been showing signs of possibly turning heel soon.

Ciampa last played a villainous character in June last year. But now he might be ready to embrace his dark side again.

Tommaso Ciampa had some unwise words about The New Day's recent actions on WWE RAW

This week's WWE RAW featured Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods kicking Big E out of The New Day during the group's 10th anniversary celebration. The duo verbally bashed E by claiming that the latter left them after his neck was injured.

Kingston and Woods added that legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Edge, and Kurt Angle returned from career-threatening neck injuries in the past, unlike E. While most fans and professionals didn't like this comment, Tommaso Ciampa somewhat found it entertaining.

On X/Twitter, The Blackheart noted that he also returned after injuring his neck and seemingly sided with The New Day in the process. Kingston and Woods are now among the most despised stars in WWE, and Ciampa might also follow suit.

Tommaso Ciampa already gave Johnny Gargano an ultimatum

As mentioned above, DIY hasn't had much success while chasing the Tag Team Championship on SmackDown recently. While Gargano is certainly stressing over it, much more for Ciampa. However, it looks like the latter is done waiting.

Last week on WWE SmackDown, the former NXT Champion told Gargano that he was likely playing it safe with MCMG as they were close friends. For those unaware, Alex Shelley was Johnny Wrestling's mentor years ago. Ciampa asked his partner to fix the issues, or else he would reclaim the title in his way.

Tommaso Ciampa has already shown he has no problems getting physical with Johnny Gargano

On the November 15 episode of SmackDown, Ciampa interfered in MCMG and The Street Profits' title match and caused a DQ finish. He attacked Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford. But it was quite a shock to many when he also pushed Gargano when the latter tried to calm him down.

The Blackheart getting physical with Johnny Wrestling is just one of the many signs he has shown about possibly turning heel soon. He is seemingly willing to put his hands on anyone who stands in his way of recapturing the Tag Team Championship.
