Dominik Mysterio defeated Damian Priest during the latest episode of WWE RAW. During the final moments of the match, interference from The Judgment Day allowed Dirty Dom to secure a sneaky victory.

Dominik has now earned a shot at Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship, but that may not be the only title he may be eyeing moving forward. There’s a possibility he could soon reunite with his legendary father, Rey Mysterio, and challenge for the tag team titles after what unfolded post-match against Priest.

Frustrated by the loss, Priest unleashed his fury on Dominik, delivering multiple chokeslams to close the show. Interestingly, Dominik’s Judgment Day teammate, Finn Balor, didn’t come out to make the save. This could lead to Balor ruthlessly kicking Dominik out of The Judgment Day, viewing him as the weak link in the group.

This would open up an opportunity for WWE to reunite the father-son duo of Dominik and Rey Mysterio, shockingly turning Dominik babyface. Together, they could feud with Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Championship on the road to WrestleMania 41.

Rey Mysterio didn't believe Dominik Mysterio was ready for his debut match in WWE

Dominik Mysterio had one of the most unique debuts in WWE. With little experience, his first match in the company was a singles match against Seth Rollins at one of the biggest Premium Live Events of the year, SummerSlam.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Dominik revealed that his father, Rey Mysterio, didn’t feel Dominik was ready when that opportunity arose. Nevertheless, Dominik said that such opportunities are so rare that he jumped at the chance and embraced it with open arms.

"It's definitely different than everyone else. I'm super thankful for the opportunities, because something like that doesn't come very often. I remember specifically my dad telling me he didn't think I was ready. I don't know if it was because he just had never seen me in the ring, I don't know what it was, but I knew that I wasn't going to get presented with another opportunity, at least like this. So I jumped on it right away," Mysterio said.
