If you haven't checked out the first episode of 'The Rosser Rewind', then we highly recommend that you do as Fred Rosser, AKA Darren Young spilt the beans on many interesting backstage stories that were hitherto unknown to the WWE Universe,

One such story involved the signing of Kofi Kingston.

Dropkick DiSKussions host Korey Gunz asked Rosser about working with The New Day during the Prime Time Players' tag team titles programme with the WWE trio that happened in 2015.

Rosser stated that it was a treat working with the 7-time WWE Tag Team Champions before revealing his relationship with Kofi Kingston.

Kingston and Rosser go way back as the two wrestled each other in Boston, Massachusetts in 2006. Rosser revealed that Kingston was signed by WWE off of a trial match that the two Superstars had back then.

Rosser did shows for Chaotic Wrestling in Boston where Kofi worked in security. They had a trial match and Kingston would eventually get picked up by WWE on the back of the Ghanaian's showing in the match.

"They were a treat man. They were really a treat to work with.
"Kofi and I came up in the same area. I remember I was doing shows in Chaotic wrestling in Boston, Massachusetts area and Kofi was doing security. So I remember when Kofi started and a lot of people don’t’ know that he got signed off our trial match. Him and I had a trial match in Massachusetts area and Kofi had that boom boom going on and he ultimately got signed off of me and fast forward to him doing the New Day and me doing the Prime Time Players.
"Our paths met again so, to able to work with him and Xavier and Big E - who I remember he started in FCW and I fell in love with his size and his work and always wanted to help him as much as possible."
