SmackDown, or Friday Night SmackDown is an American pro-wrestling TV program by WWE. It is known as the second-longest-running weekly episodic TV program after its sister programming Monday Night RAW. The first episode of SmackDown aired in the heat of the WWE vs. WCW war on April 29, 1999. It began as WWE's answer to WCW Thunder, a secondary programming. However, since then, SmackDown has truly set itself not just as an alternative, but as one of the biggest things in pro wrestling in the whole world.

Sportsnet 360 and OLN are the official broadcasting partners of Friday Night SmackDown. Earlier, SmackDown did not air live and instead was pre-recorded. At that time, fans in Canada could watch SmackDown a day before the fans in the USA. As SmackDown now airs live, fans in Canada and the USA watch it on their sets at the same time.

Where to watch WWE SmackDown in India

Fans in India can tune in to watch Friday Night SmackDown on the Sony Sports network. The show streams every week on Saturday mornings at 5:30 AM. Fans can also stream the show on SonyLIV app and on JioTV. Unlike the USA, Indian fans do not have to pay an additional amount for WWE Pay-per-view events and can stream it live on the Sony Sports network or SonyLIV app.

Hulu and WWE consented to air full episodes of SmackDown to be accessible for viewing on May 22, 2009.
