What's the story?
Even though WWE is a sports entertainment powerhouse to this day, The Bullet Club has proved that you can make a decent living, even outside the company.
A casual conversation between Bullet Club member Cody Rhodes and Jonathan Snowden of Bleacher Report had Pro Wrestling Tees chiming in with Bullet Club merch sales figures. The number is mind-blowing. It seems like they have sold a total of 4,17,430 tees in just four months.
In case you didn't know...
The Bullet Club may be a heel faction, and traditionally heels are not supposed to be selling merchandise, but the numbers that the Bullet Club touch are astronomical.
Led by the Elite squad of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, Bullet Club shirts are a familiar sight, even at WWE's own shows.
The NJPW product is hotter than ever, with Chris Jericho appearing at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4, 2018, and the numbers are only going to go up.
The heart of the matter
We had recently brought you an update about Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks planning to host their own show next year. This would be in a 10000-seater arena featuring the hottest talents from independent wrestling.
One wonders if this show will be sponsored by the incredible merchandise sales that the Young Bucks, Cody and the rest of the Bullet Club seem to be recording, at this time. We're certain that The Elite of sports entertainment are truly bringing the big bucks home, no pun intended.
What's next?
It remains to be seen just how big Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes will grow to be, going ahead. The Bullet Club is already as big, if not bigger than a lot of WWE's acts. Competition is always healthy and we hope The Elite keeps WWE on their toes.
Author's take
Guess what? I just ordered a Young Bucks shirt. So, order that to the number of shirts sold! The elite...the t elite! Too sweet.
