What’s the story?
As reported by Cageside Seats, the untimely injury to WWE superstar Braun Strowman is supposedly why this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw felt so disjointed. The show took place in London, England but didn’t seem to have the same spark as most UK events usually do.
In case you didn’t know...
Following his destruction of Roman Reigns at WWE Payback the company claimed that Braun was suffering from an injury, however many fans chose to believe that it was just a work.
Despite this, Braun did, in fact, come out with his arm in a sling for this week’s edition of Raw with many members of the WWE Universe being extremely confused as to whether or not the issue was real.
The heart of the matter
The report suggests that due to the injury, major plans needed to be changed in order to account for what had happened. It hasn’t been confirmed as to what the plans were, but it’s possible that it could’ve been the start of Strowman’s build towards facing Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire for the Universal Championship.
It’s not yet been confirmed whether or not that bout will go ahead.
What’s next?
It seems as if Braun vs Roman will finally come to an end at the Extreme Rules pay per view, but it’s all dependant on how he recovers from his injury. If that match doesn’t take place, there have also been rumours suggesting that Reigns could enter a brief feud with Bray Wyatt.
Author’s Take
Monday Night Raw was odd for a lot of reasons, and not just because of the Strowman issues.
His build towards being an unstoppable beast keeps hitting these kinds of unfortunate roadblocks, and it’s a shame because he really is one of the best things going in WWE right now.
