What's the story?
Shane McMahon was hospitalized last week which left his place at WrestleMania up in the air, despite this, Daniel Bryan announced that McMahon would still be part of their tag team match next weekend and there seems to be a good reason why.
In case you didn't know...
Shane McMahon was attacked by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on SmackDown Live a few weeks ago and has been away from TV, selling his injuries for the past two weeks. It was revealed earlier this week that the Commissioner of SmackDown Live had been hospitalized after he had been diagnosed with diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia whilst on vacation with his family.

This announcement began speculation that McMahon could be replaced in his tag team match at WrestleMania but Daniel Bryan announced the match on Tuesday night and the fact that he is still expected to be part of their match in just over a week's time.
The heart of the matter
Dave Meltzer discussed the situation surrounding McMahon's match at WrestleMania on The Wrestling Observer and implied that Shane McMahon will be part of WrestleMania despite his recent injuries.
It seems that the hernia does require surgery as previously reported but McMahon is putting it off so that he can be part of WrestleMania and the match will now be designed in such a manner so that he only has to work a light bout. The Tag Team format means that McMahon doesn't have to work as much as he would in a singles match, so he can be protected throughout.
Meltzer also pointed out that the hernia wasn't a work from WWE, it seems that the only work was that WWE reported that the injury was as a result of the beatdown from Owens and Zayn when in fact it was an injury that Shane suffered almost a week afterward.
What's next?
Shane McMahon will team up with Daniel Bryan as the duo take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn next Sunday night at WrestleMania 34.
Author's take
This isn't the first time that a wrestler has put on a brave face and overcome the pain in order to wrestle at the biggest event of the year, it's something that many stars do because it's WrestleMania. Shane will obviously be in a lot of pain, Diverticulitis is a painful condition without the added physicality involved in the wrestling business, but it seems that the Commissioner is setting an example and ensuring that everything goes to plan at this year's show.
