From the WWE Rumor Mill: Authors of Pain getting called up to the main roster

What's the story?

According to Dave Meltzer's comments on Wrestling Observer Radio, former NXT Tag-Team Champions, The Authors of Pain may be getting called up to the main-roster soon.

In case you didn't know...

Accompanied by Paul Ellering, the Authors of Pain have been near the top of the NXT Tag-Team Division since their debut in 2016 at NXT TakeOver: The End where they ambushed American Alpha. They won the titles soon after and held them until NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III where they suffered their first defeat against Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe of SAniTy.

The heart of the matter

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the Authors of Pain could be heading to the main roster soon. According to him, Akam and Rezar will be headed to SmackDown Live but there is no word on whether Paul Ellering will get called up with them.

The blue brand's tag-team division does seem weaker than RAW's and the addition of Akam and Rezar will be a welcome addition.

What's next?

Akam and Rezar don't seem to be done with NXT quite yet and will probably challenge SAniTy for a rematch for the NXT Tag-Team Championships.

Akam and Rezar are ready for the main roster. They've already accomplised quite a bit in WWE and are set to continue their path of destruction on the main roster.
