What's the story?
Jeff Hardy's injury came out of nowhere and it wasn't a good news for anyone. But when it was reported more than a few people were very concerned. Now, Dave Meltzer has more news on the subject on Wrestling Observer Radio.
In case you didn't know...
It was reported earlier this week that Jeff Hardy had sustained some kind of shoulder injury and although the details weren't spoken about in much detail he was still pulled from this weekend's house shows causing Matt Hardy to wrestle in singles matches.

The heart of the matter
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Jeff Hardy's injury was actually sustained at Great Balls Of Fire in the exact same match where Sheamus busted the Charismatic Egnima open the hard way.
It's still not clear if Hardy will require surgery but if he does require some sort of procedure it might cost him several months of time in the ring.
What's next
Jeff Hardy will keep on and hopefully, his injury isn't very serious. But he's been working with it for quite some time apparently and it's just gotten bad enough to cause an issue. Let's just hope it's not a serious one.
Author's take
Jeff Hardy has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. He has put his body through a ton of damage by taking high spots and stiff shots in the ring for a very long time now. So it's really not surprising that he wound up injured with all the abuse he puts himself through. It's also not a big surprise he worked injured for so long.
Hardy has given his entire life to the pro wrestling business and this isn't the first time he's been injured. But at his age, he needs to be able to stay in the best shape. After all, he's got younger talent all around him hungry to make their moves.
