What’s the story?
After reports emerged that Samoa Joe was backstage at tonight’s edition of WWE Raw in Dallas, PW Insider are now reporting that another Superstar who has been sidelined due to injury is backstage too - with Big Cass reportedly being confirmed was in attendance.
In case you didn’t know…
Well, after an impressive showing in a Fatal Four Way match to crown the second ever Universal Champion, in which Kevin Owens won, Cass looked ready to for a solid push within WWE as a singles star.

After disbanding with his former tag team partner, Enzo Amore, in 2017, Cass looked on his way to singles success but that push came to an abrupt halt unforeseen when he suffered a torn ACL in a Brooklyn Street Fight against his former partner on Raw.
The heart of the matter
As reported by PW Insider, as well as Samoa Joe, Big Cass was also backstage at tonight's Raw in Dallas, Texas.
It is noted that Cass was not at Raw to wrestle but is instead backstage as he is final stages of being cleared and is very close to a return to action.
Cass had been expected back by May, which would have meant missing WrestleMania 34, but PW Insider report that word backstage tonight indicates he may be back before that.
What’s next?
While Cass didn't appear on RAW, his presence backstage is great news and this means we could see Cass back on TV soon. Will it be before WrestleMania? Who knows.
Author’s take
I can’t wait to see Cass back, but with Enzo gone, it’ll be interesting to see how he slots in. Maybe as Braun Strowman's tag team partner? Or maybe as a singles star in his own right. This one will be very interesting!
