From the WWE Rumor Mill: Big Cass cleared to return to action

He
He's gonna spell it out for you! R.E.A.D.Y

What’s the story?

Big Cass has apparently been telling people he is ready to return to in-ring action.

In case you didn’t know…

Big Cass and Enzo Amore were among the many WWE tag teams that broke up last year. Cass turned heel on Enzo over the summer and feuded him until just after SummerSlam.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

On the post-SummerSlam RAW, Big Cass lost to Amore in a Brooklyn Street Fight via referee stoppage after suffering a legitimate knee injury during the match. It was revealed by doctors that Cass suffered a torn ACL. He underwent surgery and was announced to be out of action for at least nine months.

During his time off screen, he was a regular recurring star on the E! networks Total Divas. He and then girlfriend Carmella have since ended their relationship and he will no longer be appearing on the show.

The heart of the matter

PWInsider has reported that Big Cass was backstage at WWE RAW this past Monday. They have revealed that Cass was apparently telling people backstage that he has been cleared to return to in-ring action.

We are to assume it was WWE's doctors who have cleared him, which would mean the WWE creative team should already be planning his return. WWE had big plans in store for Cass before he suffered his injury.

What’s next?

We are just under 3 weeks away from WrestleMania, which takes place on April 8, in New Orleans. I think it is highly possible that Big Cass could make his return either at WrestleMania or the Raw after WrestleMania.

Author’s take

I could definitely see Big Cass return as a surprise entrant in the André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania. Some smart booking on WWE's part would be to enter Cass in the match and eliminate a handful of entrants, and possibly even win the match.
