What's the story?
A Superstar who walked into WrestleMania 33 as Champion is currently not booked for WrestleMania 34, such is the predicament of Bray Wyatt.
A host of rumors have been doing the rounds after Wyatt was thrown into the Lake of Reincarnation, and as things stand, the Eater of Worlds will have a match at Mania but it may not be what he desired.
In case you didn't know...
The Great War between Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt came to end in the Ultimate Deletion match on a recent episode of Raw. The Woken One tossed Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation, which was said to be symbolic of an impending gimmick change for Wyatt.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The former WWE Champion has since not appeared on WWE TV but made his presence felt on the live event circuit. He returned at a house show three days ago in Boston and weirdly attacked Akira Tozawa and Jack Gallagher after their singles match.
The heart of the matter
Appearances at live events have all but confirmed Wyatt's inclusion in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal which has become the dumping ground for unused talents.
Wyatt could even return with a new name and possibly by Matt Hardy's side if recent booking trends are to be believed.
What's next?
While Wyatt is nowhere on the Mania card, his old acquaintances - Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, will be involved in title matches.
This is in stark contrast to last year which saw Wyatt enter Mania as the WWE Champion while Rowan wasn't even on the card. Strowman and Harper were in the battle royal last year and have seen their stock rise exponentially since then.
As for poor old Bray Wyatt, a relegation to the pointless Battle Royal is all he gets.
Author's take
It shouldn't be long before 'Woken' Wyatt hits tv screens near you along with Matt Hardy's twisted platoon. All I hope is for another career resurgence for Husky Harris, who has gotten the short end of the stick for way too long.
