What’s the story?
As reported by respected Pro Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer during the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer, it now looks like WWE’s newest signee Ronda Rousey will compete in a big tag team match at this year’s Wrestlemania in New Orleans.
In case you didn’t know…
Following today’s historic Women’s Royal Rumble match at the Wells Fargo Center, former UFC Bantamweight Champion ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey finally made her much anticipated WWE debut when she confronted Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Smackdown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and the first ever female Royal Rumble winner Asuka.

During her debut as a full-time WWE roster member, Rousey offered handshakes to Asuka and Stephanie McMahon, who was at the commentary desk. Following her interaction with the WWE superstars, Rousey pointed at the Wrestlemania sign, leaving the WWE Universe confused.
The heart of the matter
Wrestling Observer/F4W Online’s Dave Meltzer has somewhat cleared this confusing situation in his latest edition of The Observer, as he reported that WWE is currently planning on booking Ronda Rousey in a mixed tag team match against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, at Wrestlemania 34 later this year.
As you might remember, during Wrestlemania 31, Ronda Rousey made a brief appearance when she and The Rock teamed up together to take out the duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and ever since then several reports have circulated on the web that has suggested towards a possible match between Rock and Rousey against Stephanie and Triple H.
However, as of right now, Meltzer’s report hasn’t hinted as to whom Rousey might partner up with at WM 34.
What’s next?
It will definitely be interesting to see how this story unfolds, earlier today we also reported that WWE has been seemingly playing around with the idea of a potential match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 34, however, there might be a change of plans and we could possibly see Rousey square off against Hunter and his wife Stephanie.
Author’s Take
I think there is absolutely no need for Ronda Rousey to challenge Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Title in her first Wrestlemania appearance, so, therefore, I believe that the right choice will be to book Rousey in a big tag team match against Hunter and Steph at ‘Mania 34.
