What's the story?
We recently brought you an update saying that Hulk Hogan is in conversation with WWE. We also brought you an update on the grand premiere of the upcoming Andre The Giant documentary.
According to F4WOnline, Hulk Hogan is due to appear for the premiere of the Andre 'The Giant' Documentary in Los Angeles, this coming Thursday. This will be his first appearance for the company since he was blacklisted in the year 2015.
In case you didn't know...
PWInsider reported recently that WWE and Hulk Hogan were in talks about The Hulkster's potential return to the company. The objective for the same was to help others learn from the mistakes he has made, by using racially explicit comments in a private video.
The WWE Universe has been torn about the Hulkster's return, weighing his contribution to the industry against his recent actions and unforgivable comments.
The heart of the matter
Hulk Hogan has genuinely seemed apologetic since the leaked video came to light. In the light of the same, WWE may be willing to mend bridges with their greatest star ever, and extend an olive branch.
After all, Hulk Hogan was perhaps Andre the Giant's greatest opponent ever and it would have been odd to have left him out of the fray, on such a momentous occasion.
The documentary deals with Andre's birth in France, his professional wrestling achievements (which includes the WrestleMania 3 match with Hulk Hogan) and also his entertainment industry appearances.
If you're a fan of sports entertainment, you have to watch this!
What's next?
We will bring you updates on the Hulk Hogan situation as it develops and news on if indeed, he'll be a part of WWE's programming in coming months.
Author's take
I've grown up as a Hulk Hogan fan and would love it if he were to return. As I've stated in the past, it's impossible for me to comment on such a sensitive topic such as this as an Indian, who's never lived in the United States.
However, the ratings will surely get a pop when the Hulkster comes to run wild, brother.
