What’s the story?

On an edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, the possibility of a new member being added to “Rusev Day” was discussed.

Apparently, Lana could be the newest addition to the Rusev Day Tag Team—making Rusev Day a bona fide stable in the days to come. Besides, a few other details on the same have also been revealed.

In case you didn’t know…

Rusev Day is a team comprising Rusev & Aiden English, who have been competing in the SmackDown Live Tag Team division since mid-2017—with the two veteran Superstars having previously performed extensively as singles competitors.

“Rusev Day”—the aforementioned team’s catchphrase—has lately become one of the most popular slogans in the WWE Universe and the professional wrestling world as a whole.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that it was recently reported WWE may be planning to have Lana urge Rusev to turn against Aiden English and break off the Rusev Day Tag Team.

Nevertheless, veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer explained that as evidenced by this week’s segment featuring Rusev, English & Lana; the WWE may be planning on booking them as a trio rather than having Rusev betray his teammate English.

Furthermore, it’s being alluded that although current plans may have Rusev Day include Lana as well, the possibility of Rusev & Lana turning against English may be on the cards after WWE’s Money In The Bank PPV.

What’s next?

Rusev is set to participate in the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match at WWE’s upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

The Money In The Bank PPV takes place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on June 17th.

Meanwhile, fans can expect Lana to officially join “Rusev Day” on WWE television programming in the days to come.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, Lana is indeed a perfect fit for Rusev Day.

Back when Rusev & Lana first debuted for the WWE, the Ravishing Russian garnered a ton of attention for Rusev as his valet/manager.

Perhaps Lana could once again lead Rusev to the top of the WWE food chain as the WWE Universe rolls on in the 2018 post-WrestleMania season.
