What’s the story?
As seen on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, The Usos cut an amazing in-ring promo in which they stated that there is currently no tag team in the WWE who are capable enough to stop the duo of Jimmy and Jey Uso and on the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed this particular segment and revealed the tag team who are likely to step up next and challenge The Usos.
In case you didn’t know…
The Usos have been on a dominating run ever since they changed their gimmicks from fun-loving Samoans to nasty mean heels. Jimmy and Jey are three-time and current Smackdown Live Tag Team Champions and over the course of the past few months, they have outclassed almost every other team who have decided to challenge them, including the likes of The New Day, The Bar, Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable and more.
The heart of the matter
As noted by Dave Meltzer during the latest edition of The Observer Radio, he believes that following The Usos’ segment on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live it is now likely that The Bludgeon Brothers will be the next challengers for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Titles, as Harper and Rowan are all set to challenge Jimmy and Jey. Meltzer thinks that this past week’s segment clearly indicated towards a possible feud between both teams, however, as previously noted, there was clearly no interaction between The Bludgeon Brothers and The Usos this past Wednesday.
Additionally, Meltzer exactly did not elaborate on when the two teams will eventually collide but as of right now there is a pretty solid chance that we might see The Usos and The Bludgeon Brothers collide at next month’s Fastlane pay-per-view.
What’s next?
The Usos have previously faced off against the team of Harper and Rowan when they were a part of The Wyatt Family and if you recall, that match was an instant classic. So there is clearly no doubt that both of these teams will once again put out another classic match when they finally square off against each other.
Author’s Take
The Usos have proved themselves to be a dominating team and Harper and Rowan are slowly rising up the ranks in the tag team division and it is only a matter of time before The Bludgeon Brothers capture the Smackdown Live Tag Team Titles.
