What’s the story?
On a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed Paige’s much-hyped return matchup not coming to fruition on RAW.
Regarding her new faction ‘Absolution’, Meltzer asserted that Paige and her allies will possibly compete against Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Here is what happened on this week’s episode
In case you didn’t know…
Paige was all set to perform in her first official WWE match since her comeback, after a hiatus that saw her on the shelf for more than a year.
The Anti-Diva and her allies Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville aka the new stable Absolution were set to go toe-to-toe with the team of Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James on this week’s edition of RAW; however, Bayley and James were attacked by Absolution backstage.
The heart of the matter
Paige, Rose & Deville proceeded to lay waste to Sasha Banks inside the ring. That, in turn, has led to speculation in the professional wrestling community as to whom the new team will be matched up against next week on RAW.
Veteran pro-wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer explained that the WWE will probably go with the same matchup — a 6-Woman Tag Team bout that will see Absolution take on Banks, Bayley & James.
Furthermore, the vast majority of industry insiders opine that Paige and her faction are probably going over next week, as well as in the days to come on RAW.
What’s next?
The WWE is yet to officially announce the aforementioned matchup for next week’s RAW.
However, fans can expect the promotion to present Absolution vs. Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James in a 6-Woman Tag Team Match on next week’s episode of RAW which airs from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on December 4th.
