The heart of the matter
PWInsider first reported on the WWE pursing Rockstar Spud in October. The month prior, Spud asked for and was granted his release.
With the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Enzo Amore, set to take on either Drew Gulak or Cedric Alexander next Monday on Raw, it is possible that Spud makes his debut after that match.
Over the course of Spud's career, he has won numerous championships. Within Impact Wrestling specifically, he's won the Impact X-Division Championship twice as well as the 2015 TNA World Cup where he teamed with Jeff Hardy, Gunner, Gail Kim, Davey Richards, and Crazzy Steve.
What's next?
The next edition of Monday Night RAW takes place on December 18th from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for further information regarding the debut of Rockstar Spud.
Author's take
I've said it many times, but I think the WWE Cruiserweight Division has some great talent, and the division is starting to evolve. Not long from now, they will be hitting the road for their first ever live shows.
Impact Wrestling is not getting a million viewers for their television show like they did in the late 2000's, so there is a good chance that not many within the WWE Universe will know who he is; however, the addition of Rockstar Spud will be a tremendous one.
His great in the ring and on the mic, and it won't take long for him to win over the WWE Universe.
