What’s the story?
Cageside Seats is reporting that Roman Reigns could have a short-term program with Bray Wyatt because of Braun Strowman’s injury.
In case you didn’t know...
Braun Strowman is set to have elbow surgery, and his recovery time is estimated to be between 4 to 8 weeks which puts him out of action for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. However, there is a chance that he may be able to perform at WWE Great Balls of Fire.
The heart of the matter
If this rumour is to be believed, then this will likely put a halt to the feud building up between Bray Wyatt and Finn Bálor. The Eater of Worlds recently attacked the Demon King and cost him his chance at the Intercontinental Championship, after weeks of segments involving the two. Should this report be accurate, Bálor might not face Wyatt until Great Balls of Fire.
One indication that this could be Reigns’ next program is the fact that Wyatt and Samoa Joe competed against Reigns and Seth Rollins in France during the WWE European tour.

What’s next?
The match at the house show could’ve just been a spur of the moment decision that means nothing, but the only way to know for sure is by keeping up with Roman Reigns on Monday Night Raw. There are three weeks left until Extreme Rules so expect a segment between the Big Dog and his next opponent very soon.
Author’s take
WWE has been building towards a match between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt ever since the Superstar Shake-up, so this news might come as a bit of a disappointment for a significant portion of the audience. However, Reigns has good chemistry with the Eater of worlds, and the two of them should be able to produce some compelling television.
