New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Come Friday, seven Championships will be on the line, in addition to a casket match between The Undertaker and Rusev, a Singles match between Triple H and John Cena and the main event - the 50-man Royal Rumble match.

The heart of the matter

PWInsider has confirmed that two former WWE stars - Shawn Daivari and Hornswoggle have been spotted in Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Daivari is best known in WWE for managing the controversial former Superstar Mohammed Hassan, and later working as a manager for The Great Khali and other Superstars, and his brief stint in the Cruiserweight Championship scene.

After his release in 2007, Daivari has worked for TNA and other independent promotions. His brother Ariya Daivari is a Superstar on WWE's 205 Live.

Hornswoggle had quite a run in WWE previously, most famous for being revealed as the anonymous Raw General Manager.

Another angle saw him being revealed as Vince McMahon's illegitimate son. He mostly provided comedic relief throughout his stint, until his release in 2016.

What's next?

Greatest Royal Rumble will take place on Friday, April 27th at King Abdullah Sports Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will air live on the WWE Network.

Author's take

WWE is probably having a tough time filling out the 50 spots if they are turning to smaller stars such as Daivari and Hornswoggle. That said, the event is certainly a must-watch and is sure to feature many a lot of surprise entrants.
