After his stint on NJPW, the 'Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla' appeared on WWE TV once again at the Raw 25 show, in a backstage segment with Elias. He has not been seen on WWE programming since.
The heart of the matter
Earlier this week WWE put out an update on the Greatest Royal Rumble event happening on April 27th, confirming that Jericho will indeed be a part of the 50-man Royal Rumble match.
However, CagesideSeats now speculates that the appearance by Y2J might be a one-off appearance and that he is not set to get back to full-time WWE programming.
Jericho's rock band Fozzy are currently on their 'Judas Rising' tour and have upcoming performances in July-August later this year.
What's next?
The Greatest Royal Rumble event is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on April 27th. The card is stacked with 7-Championship matches already announced, in addition to the 50-man Royal Rumble match.
Author's take
It is disappointing, to say the least, that Chris Jericho won't be coming back to WWE full-time in the near future.
That being said, the Greatest Royal Rumble is shaping up to be an amazing event, with some amazing matches lined up for the event.
