From the WWE Rumor Mill: Update on Crazzy Steve coming to WWE

Wha
What's going on with Crazzy Steve?

What's the story?

Impact Wrestling has a lot of stars who would love to be in WWE and one recent departee left to try his hand at the Performance Center. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that WWE opted against signing Crazzy Steve after the latter's tryout in June.

In case you didn't know...

As a member of Decay, Crazzy Steve mind-warped his way through the Impact Wrestling roster. Alongside Abyss and Rosemary, Crazzy Steve stood out for his unique ability to tell a story in the ring.

A WWE Hall of Famer isn't a John Cena fan. More details HERE

A lot of people saw great things in store for him and he left Impact Wrestling on April 20, 2017, in order to tryout with WWE.

The heart of the matter

Although WWE does seem to be snatching up every big indie talent they can find, it appears they're going to pass on Crazzy Steve for now. He left Impact Wrestling because WWE had reportedly shown an interest in him. Steve attended a WWE tryout camp and most thought he would have a decent showing.

But it doesn't look like WWE is going to jump on him right now as Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE ended up not signing him to a deal after his tryout in June.

What's next?

Crazzy Steve is going to keep at it and make a name for himself on the indie wrestling scene. But there is no shortage of amazing names on the indie circuit that he might encounter along the way. The 33-year-old pro wrestler still has time to come back around to Vince McMahon's company, eventually.

Author's take

Never say never about anything in WWE. I thought Roman Reigns would never get over and all it took was sprinkling a little John Cena dust on him and there you have it. He's not getting booed...as much.

Crazzy Steve has a great character, and if they could find a way to insert him into the WWE Machine, he might prove to be a useful piece of the puzzle. But it doesn't look like they were able to find a place for him this time around.
