What's the story?
Daniel Bryan is back on SmackDown Live and is currently, perhaps the top babyface in the brand. He was once told that he would never wrestle again, only to return against all odds and compete at the highest level for WWE a few years later, .
Wrestling Observer speculates that Daniel Bryan will stay on with the company even after his contract expires later in the year. I think Cageside Seats for the heads up.

This is due to the fact that Bryan's contract will expire later this year, according to rumours. Dave Meltzer had sent out a Tweet not long ago, suggesting November would be when Bryan's contract expires.
The heart of the matter
Everyone knows about Bryan's comeback story, so I will not focus on that. Instead, I will focus upon how Bryan has been booked as the top babyface on SmackDown Live since his return, and certainly features heavily in the brand's plans.
It sounds like Bryan is content on being a WWE superstar and for the time being, will not shift his focus to NJPW or ROH as was once speculated. This is great news for the SmackDown Live brand, where Bryan is perhaps the top draw.
What's next?
Bryan lost the Money in the Bank qualifier match to Rusev. Does this mean that his feud with Big Cass will continue? We'll have to wait for next week's episode to find out!
Author's take
Daniel Bryan belongs in WWE, at least for the time being. His comeback story is still hot and he needs to ride the wave of momentum while he can.
Plus, who wouldn't want to compete at the highest level when the opportunity comes knocking?
