The heart of the matter
Lesnar's current contract is set to expire at Wrestlemania 34, and there have been rumours that following Wrestlemania he will return to UFC.
There was a lot of talk about Lesnar potentially facing Jon Jones as his first fight back in UFC, but all that speculation went up in the air after the former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion tested positive for an anabolic steroid through a urine test administered on the 28th of July, the night before the UFC 214 bout.
Jon Jones was stripped of the UFC Light Heavyweight Title and is facing a four-year suspension as this is his second offence.
Due to the incident, Lesnar's return to the UFC is doubtful, and "The Beast" may sign a new contract which would extend his stay in the WWE past Wrestlemania. WWE is reportedly eager to pair Lesnar with Strowman in a continuation of their feud if he signs the new contract.
What's next?
Brock Lesnar did not make an appearance in the Raw after No Mercy, and the next contender for his Universal Championship is yet to be decided.

Braun Strowman defeated one-half of the Raw tag team champions in the previous Raw when he faced Dean Ambrose. He is set to take on the Seth Rollins on the next Raw.
Author's take
Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar had a lot of hype leading up to their match and their match was one of the best on the card.
Braun Strowman has been booked as the next big thing for a long time on Raw and he and Brock have a natural chemistry in the ring. Hopefully, Brock Lesnar will sign the new contract so that there may be a rematch between the Beast and the Monster.
