What's the story?
The last we heard about the potential WWE UK Wrestling show was that they were looking at broadcasters to cement a television deal and that they had penciled in the name 'King of the Ring' for it. Now, Dave Meltzer has provided an update in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicating more progress is being made.
In case you didn't know...
The WWE has always had a plan to do a UK Wrestling show which was jump-started by the WWE UK Tournament that crowned Tyler Bate as the first ever WWE UK Champion. However, for multiple reasons, the television show focusing exclusively on British talent has yet to come to fruition.

The heart of the matter
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update indicating that the WWE is still working behind the scenes to get the show off of the ground and is quietly booking and dropping dates for tapings
There's a lot of movement going on behind-the-scenes when it comes to the often-delayed U.K. project. WWE does have a date booked in December in Margate, Kent and may have others. It should be noted that they've had a lot of dates booked for U.K. TV tapings and have canceled them quietly.
The WON goes on to suggest that the WWE has big plans for its UK division that involves a WWE Training Centre being opened in the UK with British trainers being sent to the Performance Centre to learn how to train the WWE style
The idea is still to do tapings and run a U.K. based promotion, and eventually open a training center with the idea of bringing U.K. trainers to Florida (like Johnny Moss already did) to teach them how WWE wants people trained and have them run it
What's next?
With Trent Seven being recently given a Superstar profile on the website it seems that the WWE have cemented the contracts of the UK guys, which could mean we're getting close to seeing the UK show happen.
Author's take
As I'm from the UK this is something I've been patiently waiting for. It's been upsetting seeing all of the New Orleans promotions and match cards, so a WWE UK show would definitely make me feel better.
