Full predictions for card and results for Fastlane 2018 

The next PPV on the SmackDown Calendar is Fastlane. The main event is already locked in with the only thing to speculate being who the fourth man will be out of Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin.

Here we predict the full Fastlane card as well as the results for the predicted matches.

#6 The New Day vs Benjamin & Gable

Will The New Day silence Gable & Benjamin?

At the moment, Benjamin and Gable are embarking on a gimmick where they wish to rid the tag division of all the fun and 'silly behavior'. Considering that fun and silly, practically personifies The New Day, it seems that their paths will cross sooner rather than later.

This could be a fun match with all athletes being great in-ring competitors, it could be a sly show stealer. We expect The New Day to go over here and the loss could even lead to a breakup between Benjamin and Gable.

These two could have a great match on the Mania pre-show. Here the veteran Benjamin could put over Gable before they both move on to other things.

Prediction - The New Day win a great match leading to a Benjamin and Gable split

#5 Becky Lynch & Naomi vs Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan

The Riott Squad are in need of some wins!

With Ruby Riott potentially having a higher spot on the card this could give the rest of the Riott Squad something to do. For weeks The Squad has been running rampant on Smackdown so expect the blue brand's two resident heroes, to step up to them at the PPV event.

This could just be a SmackDown match but if the WWE struggle to fill the card it could easily be a good filler. The Riott Squad are in need of some wins after some questionable booking. This could be the start of that streak.

#4 Bobby Roode vs Randy Orton - United States Championship

Will Orton win the one title he has never held?

A match between these two is very fresh and Orton has never won the US title, so there is a good story to tell here. It would be hard as well to know which way this one will go as they may want to add prestige to the title by letting the established Orton carry it into Mania.

At the moment it seems like the US title might be defended in a multi-man Ladder match at WrestleMania. With this in mind, we expect interference to set this up and lead to a brawl between the competitors, whoever they may be.

#3 The Usos vs The Bludgeon Brothers

Could these be the men to stop the Usos?

Having run through the whole tag division, The Usos only real threat now is the Bludgeon Brothers.

This could happen at Mania but with the event always having such a stacked card the Tag Titles might not make the cut. This one happening at Fastlane instead could make sense.

The Usos have had an amazing run and Harper and Rowan are long overdue a title run from as far back as their days with the Wyatt Family. We expect them to steal the titles here after their first challenging/competitive match up

Predicted Result - The Bludgeon Brother win the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.

#2 Charlotte Flair vs Ruby Riott- Smackdown Women's Championship

Will Ruby stand tall again?

With Charlotte having been battling the Riott Squad on and off for months, it seems likely that this rivalry will culminate at Fastlane.

With Charlotte likely to face either Asuka or Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, it seems very unlikely she will drop the title here.

There may also be a tease of a cash in here as there was on Smackdown in recent weeks. Charlotte should somehow overcome this and still go on to WrestleMania as women's champion.

Predicted Result- Charlotte Retains and Carmella's cash in is thwarted before the bell rings.

#1 A.J. Styles vs Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler - WWE Championship

Ziggler will be a part of the Fastlane Main Event!

On the upcoming episode of Smackdown Live, this main event will be set in stone.

Ziggler and Corbin are set to battle over a spot in this match on SmackDown this Tuesday. Seeing as this is Ziggler's first match since the Royal Rumble, it seems unlikely they would book him to lose.

This will also enhance the Bryan/McMahon tension as Shane putting Ziggler in the match will be a display of his power and will show Bryan that he is not the only man that makes the matches.

With it, extremely likely that Styles will face Nakamura, we expect Styles to go over here, but it will be a fun match with plenty of near falls.

Predicted Result- Unless WWE swerves us massively with a Ziggler win, Styles retains and heads to WrestleMania for a showdown with Shinsuke Nakamura.
