Finn Balor and Damian Priest have been engaged in a heated feud after the former betrayed the latter at SummerSlam 2024. During the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, The Judgment Day fought back and dominated Priest and Rhea Ripley, sending a bold message to the Terror Twins.

It appears that WWE has big plans for this feud, which has several angles and the expectation is that it will be extended through several weeks and a few premium live events.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor have not faced each other one-on-one until now and it is unclear when this will happen. In this article, we take a look at three reasons why it should not take place right now.

#3. Finn Balor needs to keep his eyes open for Jey Uso and Sami Zayn

Apart from his feud with the former Judgment Day members, Finn Balor has to keep an eye on a potential title match against Jey Uso and Sami Zayn.

Balor and JD McDonagh are the current World Tag Team Champions on RAW, with Jey and Sami having already revealed that they will go after their titles.

It is unclear when this match will take place and whether it will be on RAW or another premium live event, but if Finn is too much focused on Damian Priest, this might cost him and The Irish Ace the World Tag Team Championship.

Jey Uso is the one to watch out for The Judgment Day, as it is very likely that The Yeet Master will side with Priest and Rhea Ripley in their feud with the fearsome faction.

#2. The focus is on Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio now

Despite the actions of Finn Balor at SummerSlam 2024, WWE has focused more on the feud between Dominik Mysterio & reigning Women's World Champion Liv Morgan and the Terror Twins.

As a matter of fact, the four superstars will collide at Bash in Berlin on Saturday, August 31, 2024, when Liv and Dirty Dom will team up to clash with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest in a mixed tag team match.

Thus, it would ruin this feud if Priest went after Balor right away, as WWE's current creative plans might lead to a match between Dominik and the former World Heavyweight Champion.

#1. The title should be on the line

Probably the most important reason for WWE to delay a match between Finn Balor and Damian Priest is that it could lead to a title match in the future. The stakes will be much higher if the World Heavyweight Championship is on the line.

For this to happen, though, it would mean that either Balor or Priest would have to dethrone Gunther and claim the title. It is also likely that both will have a title shot since they have unfinished business with The Ring General.

Thus, we could see Balor and Priest collide at Survivor Series: WarGames in late November 2024, at the 2025 Royal Rumble, or even at WrestleMania 41. Additionally, fans should expect the mixed tag team match at Bash in Berlin to shed more light on the next steps, as we should consider a Judgment Day interference as a no-brainer.
