What's the story?
After much speculation, GFW seem to have confirmed on Twitter that this year's edition of Bound for Glory is to take place in Canada. The host city is to be announced tomorrow.
In case you didn't know...
Global Force Wrestling is the new name of TNA, the 15-year-old wrestling promotion that was once the clear second biggest promotion in North America. The company was established by Jeff Jarrett in 2002, and went on to create a number of major pro wrestling stars. It was in TNA that AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels and others made their names.

TNA moved its weekly Impact television show to Monday nights in 2010, ostensibly in an attempt to take on WWE. The move was ill-advised, to say the least, and the promotion has slowly fallen apart ever since. It was taken over by Anthem in late 2016, and the decision was made to re-brand as GFW earlier this year.
Bound for Glory is the promotion's biggest show of the year, GFW's WrestleMania if you will. The 2017 location is yet to be confirmed.
The heart of the matter
Over the last few days, GFW has been teasing a number of potential locations for its annual Bound for Glory extravaganza. Among them were a number of spots that TNA had booked in the past, wrestling cities renowned for an enthusiastic and energetic audience.
GFW was hinting that Bound for Glory could take place anywhere in the world, including the UK, India and Mexico.
It seems as though Canada has gotten the nod for the biggest show of the promotion's year. GFW posted a picture on its official Twitter account earlier today, promising to reveal the city tomorrow along with the hashtag 'BFGCanada'.
The announcement comes as no surprise, as rumours have circulated recently about the company moving its headquarters to Toronto, Ontario. It seems that Queen City may well be the likely location for the show.
What's next?
GFW will announce the official location of Bound for Glory tomorrow, with Toronto expected to be the named town. Bound for Glory takes place on November 5th, and is expected to be headlined by Eli Drake and Johnny Impact doing battle over the GFW Global Championship.
Author's take
GFW certainly drummed up some social media speculation with its series of teaser location videos over the last few days. It makes a lot of sense for the company to move north of the border, as re-branding in the Impact Zone is nigh on impossible.
Here's hoping the company can make a fresh start in Toronto, and that Bound for Glory turns out to be a fantastic show.
