WWE Superstar Bill Goldberg is making news in pro wrestling circles regarding his retirement match. The Hall of Famer has already competed in several big matches against the likes of The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, and more. However, the company might want to continue that trend. Interestingly, Uncle Howdy could be the one who retires the former Universal Champion.
Bo Dallas is a former one-time WWE RAW Tag Team Champion, a one-time 24/7 Champion, and a one-time NXT Champion. He has resumed the legacy of his late brother Bray Wyatt by returning as Uncle Howdy and starting The Wyatt Sicks. The eerie faction targets heels and after defeating Chad Gable and American Made, the group is currently feuding with The Final Testament.
Interestingly, Goldberg had squashed Bray Wyatt back in February 2020 at the WWE Super Showdown. Moreover, he had hit The Fiend with four vicious Spears to claim victory in that match.

The Stamford-based promotion has already made Uncle Howdy go after The Miz to avenge the lies he had told a younger Bo Dallas back in 2017. Thus, the company could also pit Howdy against Goldberg to avenge his late brother and retire the Hall of Famer at WrestleMania 41. While this is a strong storyline direction WWE can take, all of this is speculation so far.
The Ring General could also be the man to retire Goldberg
Gunther always spews venom on his opponents and other legendary WWE legends and superstars each time he takes the mic. At Bad Blood in October 2024, The Ring General disrespected Goldberg who was watching the premium live event with the fans in Atlanta.
The World Heavyweight Champion even went personal and asked the Hall of Famer’s son Gage if Goldberg was at least good at being a dad. This caused the 57-year-old to hop over the barricade to get a piece of Gunther. However, security officials got the situation under control. The insult came just a few weeks after the Austrian had claimed Bill as his childhood hero.
Although the two men could have traded blows that night, an interference by Sami Zayn shifted Gunther’s focus on The OG Bloodline member. With this fiery verbal spat, the Stamford-based promotion created excitement for a grand match waiting to happen. It could also mean that The Ring General’s WrestleMania 41 opponent is already decided. It would be interesting to see if these two high-achievers actually get in the ring in Las Vegas.
