Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania after cashing in his MITB contract during Reigns and Lesnar's title match. Cena won the US Championship on the same day.

During one of Cena's US open challenges, Rollins took on Cena for the US title. Rollins inadvertently broke Cena's nose but Cena retained the title. Cena then took a brief hiatus to recover while Rollins mocked and ridiculed Cena. He challenged Cena to a winner takes all match and Cena accepted.
At SummerSlam, Cena and Rollins stole the show in a thrilling contest. Jon Stewart attacked Cena towards the end of the match and allowed Rollins to retain the title in one of the most shocking moments of the night. The terrible finish ruined what was a match of the year candidate. Rollins should've defeated The Champ clean in the middle of the ring.
