#4 SummerSlam

A great summer
A great summer

For many SummerSlam is the best PPV of the year but it was not without a few problems.

Reigns vs Lesnar for Universal Championship and Styles vs Joe were the headlining matches of the show. Miz vs Bryan formed part of a long card. Strowman kept his MITB on the line against Owens and Finn Balor faced Corbin in a rematch.

Both IC Title and US Title saw rematches from Extreme Rules. Bliss defended her Championship against Rousey whereas Carmella defended against both Lynch and Flair.

Positives

Becky Lynch snaping after her match was a delight to watch. Joe and Styles delivered a great performance for the WWE Championship. Miz and Bryan was a good match with a surprising end.

The match for IC Title was engaging as fans were speculating an Ambrose heel turn at the night. Finn Balor coming out as a Demon added an extra layer to his match against Corbin.

Negatives

The main event was a tad disappointing. Even though seeing Lesnar's reign as a champion being ending was a delight, the manner in which it happened was not good. The US Title match was average, and the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match was interrupted due to injury. Another big problem was that it was a very long show to sit through and watch.

Grade: 8.5/10
