#5 Hell in a Cell

It was a hell of a PPV
It was a hell of a PPV

My personal favourite for the year was Hell in a Cell, although my views could be different from yours.

It was a short card with very few misses. Strowman cashed in his MITB Contract against Reigns for the Universal Championship in a HIAC match, and Mick Foley was announced as the special guest referee for this match. In a SummerSlam rematch, Styles faced Joe for the WWE Championship.

Ziggler and McIntyre defended their Tag Team Championship against the team of Rollins and Ambrose. Lynch faced Flair for the Smackdown Women's Championship and Bliss claimed her rematch against Rousey for the Raw one. Hardy faced Orton in a HIAC match.

Miz and Bryan continued their rivalry in form of a mixed tag team match.

Positives

It had far more positives than negatives. The quality of almost all the matches was great. Lynch winning the title was a great moment. Most of the matches were properly booked.

The two HIAC matches were incredible. The mixed tag team match worked well with Miz and Bryan working most of the match.

Negatives

The Main event match between Reigns and Strowman was a great affair until Lesnar returned to end it into a no-contest. This ending left a sour taste for the fans. The two mid-card titles did not find a place on the card. As it was a small card, many performers were unable to get a spot on the card.

Grade: 9/10
