Paige is the originator of the modern 'Women's Evolution' in WWE. She debuted on NXT and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the first ever NXT Women's Champion. She accomplished this at the tender age of 20 and had a 250+ day reign with the belt. In this run, she emerged as the premier female wrestler in NXT and possibly in WWE. She had memorable and epic feuds with the likes of Natalya, Summer Rae, Sasha Banks etc.

Paige had an explosive entry into the NXT women's division, but she had a much bigger impact on her main roster debut. Surprising incumbent champion AJ Lee, Paige debuted on the Raw after WrestleMania XXX and won the Divas Championship from her, ending her record-setting 296-day reign. She stayed a relevant main event presence in the women's division for the longest time, until an injury derailed her career.

Upon her return, she had to retire from in-ring competition soon enough. Despite this, Paige's short run is no indicator of the influence she was for women's wrestling in WWE, and should be remembered as one of the finest women's wrestlers to enter the WWE ring.
