Graphic image of John Cena's broken nose, backstage update on his injury

John Cena continued to wrestle with Seth Rollins despite suffering from a broken nose

Nobody has ever questioned John Cena's commitment to WWE. On Monday's edition of Raw, he further cemented that commitment by continuing to wrestle in the main event after suffering a broken nose. On last night’s Raw, Cena defended his United States Championship against Seth Rollins.

During the match, Rollins kneed Cena in the face. However, if history has taught us anything, it's that Cena can overcome any odds. And as long as the injury isn't too severe, it shouldn't affect any of the buildup to SummerSlam. Cena might have to wear a mask for a little bit and/or refrain from his U.S. title open challenge for a few weeks before SummerSlam, but he's competed through worse, including a torn triceps leading into SummerSlam 2013.

WWE Dr. Steve Daquino commented to WWE's website:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction. He's got quite a bit of displacement, so we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who's on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it."
