WWE Superstar Gunther doesn’t seem to be in alignment with his Imperium teammate, Ludwig Kaiser, lately. Interestingly, a recent development hints that The World Heavyweight Champion may kick the German star out and recruit WWE veteran Wade Barrett as his manager. Moreover, the former pro wrestler also seemed interested in joining Imperium.

Gunther entered the Survivor Series Premium Live Event in Vancouver with a different energy than the fearless and unstoppable warrior the WWE Universe sees every time. However, his title defense victory over Damian Priest has seemingly restored his confidence. Following the win, The Ring General spoke with Jackie Redmond alongside Wade Barrett and Big E.

During the conversation, the Monday Night RAW commentator asked Gunther if he was eligible to join Imperium. He highlighted that he had already figured out a dress code to support The Ring General. In response, the World Heavyweight Champion said he had also pondered the thought.

"We talked about that before around here. Ludwig and I are both under the assumption that Wade would be a very fitting member," Gunther said.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

To this, the 44-year-old said that he was too old to get inside the squared circle. However, The Ring General can recruit him as a manager. Moreover, while the Austrian star discussed getting the former five-time Intercontinental Champion on the board with Ludwig Kaiser, it doesn’t guarantee Kaiser’s spot in the faction.

Gunther can attack and kick him out of the faction as its weak link, just like Giovanni Vinci was thrown out in April 2024. However, all of this is speculation as of now.

Gunther still has hope for Ludwig Kaiser

The Ring General hasn't liked Ludwig Kaiser’s forced yesmanship lately. He stopped the German star from insulting Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest and asked him to become a better wrestler alongside him.

During the same conversation, however, the World Heavyweight Champion praised Kaiser for his performance in the Triple Threat match against Bron Breakker and Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship.

The 2024 King of the Ring said he was happy with Kaiser and, while he didn't win, he was "proud" of the great fight he put up in his first premium live event.

"Yeah, it's his first PLE appearance. I'm very happy for him. I think, yes, he hasn't achieved his goal. It's a marathon, not a sprint. He can be very proud of his performance today. He left it all out there. From my side, that's all I can ask for."

Thus, the World Heavyweight Champion still believes in his teammate. It would be interesting to see what lies ahead for The Ring General, Kaiser, and Imperium in the future.
