TNA star Jordynne Grace made a shocking appearance during the latest episode of WWE NXT. She confronted the current NXT Women's Champion, Roxanne Perez, and was part of an unexpected challenge.
General Manager Ava announced that Roxanne will defend her title against Grace at NXT Battleground in Las Vegas next week, where the reigning TNA Knockouts Champion has promised to walk out as a double champion.
This announcement has left the WWE Universe awestruck and wondering if Grace has officially signed with WWE. The answer is no. In 2023, she signed a two-year deal with IMPACT Wrestling. This appearance on WWE NXT rather highlights the close collaboration between the two promotions, similar to earlier this year when Jordynne Grace entered the Women's Royal Rumble Match.
NXT Battleground is set to take place on June 9 at the UFC Apex in the Las Vegas suburb of Enterprise, Nevada.
Booker T wants WWE to sign Jordynne Grace
Jordynne Grace made a strong impression at the 2024 Royal Rumble, lasting over 20 minutes in the women's Rumble before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.
Booker T praised Grace's performance, saying WWE should sign the 28-year-old. He noted that she is currently signed with TNA but hoped a deal could be made to bring her to the Stamford-based company.
"Hey man, I think they should [sign Grace]. But right now, I think she's still under contract with TNA. Hopefully, they can make some kind of a deal were she could still work... I don't know. This TNA deal seems like it's, you know, something that's really, you know, real," Booker T said.
Another wrestling veteran, Matt Morgan also shared a similar opinion. He said that Grace "screamed superstar" with her performance at the Rumble and questioned why the Stamford-based promotions has not yet signed her. It will be interesting to see if they decide to sign Grace once her current contract expires with TNA Wrestling.
