Seth Rollins and CM Punk headlined the RAW premiere on Netflix and had a blockbuster match. The Best in the World stood tall and eventually won the first battle with The Visionary.
Following the victory, CM Punk said he would focus on winning the Royal Rumble and challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
As for the former World Heavyweight Champion, it is unclear what he will do next, even though his rivalry with CM Punk is far from over. With that in mind, we look at four directions for Seth Rollins after his loss to CM Punk.
#4. He could leave Monday Night RAW
There is not much left for Seth Rollins to do on Monday Night RAW aside from his rivalry with CM Punk, even though The Visionary wants to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship down the road.
Following his loss to CM Punk, he could decide to leave RAW and move to SmackDown to regroup. On that occasion, he would go after Cody Rhodes not only to claim the Undisputed WWE Championship but also because Cody aligned with Rollins' rival, Roman Reigns, just a few months after Cody and Seth fought Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania 40.
#3. Re-form The Shield with Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens?
Amid his feud with Roman Reigns, there has been speculation that Seth Rollins could re-form The Shield with another two WWE stars. If this happens, these two superstars could be Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens, who have done a great job as heels.
All three have a common enemy in Roman Reigns and The OG Bloodline, so they could re-form the faction and collide with The OG Bloodline, with Cody Rhodes also joining the rivalry.
#2. Seth Rollins wins the Royal Rumble match and challenges Gunther at WrestleMania 41
On Monday, John Cena and CM Punk declared for the Royal Rumble, which is expected to feature some of the top names in WWE. One of them could be Seth Rollins.
The Visionary could be next to enter the Rumble not only to prevent The Best in the World from winning it but to win it and get a title shot against Gunther at WrestleMania 41.
That way, he could reclaim the title and have another match with CM Punk, with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
#1. The Visionary could turn heel and face CM Punk at WrestleMania 41
Seth did his best to defeat CM Punk and make a statement but came up short in the end. Amid his frustration, he could turn heel eventually and go after CM Punk again.
As their feud is far from over, WWE Creative plans to extend it through at least WrestleMania 41. So, Rollins could turn heel and go after Punk at the Grandest Stage of Them All, which is a plan that WWE Creative has for the Showcase of The Immortals, even though WWE could have a CM Punk vs Roman Reigns match at 'Mania.
