Hardy has been back with the WWE for nearly 18 months now. He has held the US Title but other than this, his return has not been particularly memorable. His character has slowly stagnated since his return and losing to Orton could be the catalyst for Hardy to become Brother Nero once more.

Brother Nero appearing at the pay per view will allow the WWE to quickly develop the character over the next few weeks. With Matt Hardy sidelined though injury, it would make sense for him to make a non-wrestling return and use his 'woken wisdom' to help Jeff with the transition.This should then all build to Brother Nero exacting revenge on 'The Viper' at Survivor Series later this year.
