The Miz and Uncle Howdy had an unexpected face-off during the last night's episode of Monday Night RAW. While the former WWE Champion was out there to prove his allegiance to The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) against The New Day, the night didn't pan out as expected for him as The Wyatt Sicks played spoiler.
As The Final Testament and Miz attacked R-Truth for helping out Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, the return of The Wyatt Sicks family saved the day for the veteran. As Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Eric Rowan attacked The Final Testament, The Miz was left in the ring alone.
And before he could realize that he was safe, Uncle Howdy (aka Bo Dallas) was behind him. But, in a moment of sacrifice, Paul Ellering took the beating for The Miz. Ellering endured a mandible claw from Dallas to close out the segment.
However, it was just a rewind for Miz, who shares a deep history with Bo Dallas. And their storyline might continue from here.
History between Uncle Howdy aka Bo Dallas and The Miz
Nearly eight years ago, The Miz had his own entourage, which Uncle Howdy Dallas and Curtis Axel were part of, called 'The Miztourage.' On the June 19, 2017, episode of RAW, the two came in to help the two-time WWE Champion against Dean Ambrose.
The story of how they joined forces with Miz was a rather dramatic one, as Dallas and Axel came in the ring during another episode of MizTV where The A-Lister attempted to apologize to his wife, Maryse.
The party, however, was spoiled by Dean Ambrose who came out to further embarrass his wife. As Miz attempted to attack Dean Ambrose, he was thrown out of the ring by the former Shield member.
However, there were two men standing in bear costumes behind Ambrose who later attacked him. They were revealed to be Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, who had finally joined 'The Miztourage.'
The two later went on to assist Miz in several matches, helping him retain his Intercontinental Championship. The union lasted only two months, as Miz later allied with The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) to take on The Shield.
The Miz spoke on why he chose Bo Dallas aka Uncle Howdy and Curtis Axel for Miztourage
The ex-WWE Champion had then revealed why he went with Dallas and Axel for his team. In an interview with TV Insider, Miz had said that he roped them in knowing the talent the two guys possessed.
"I legit wanted Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel by my side because I know the talent they possess. Just having them around, I try to elevate everything. Now, I’m at a level where you have to step up to the plate if you want to hang against me. If you don’t, then I will swallow you whole," Wrestling Inc. quoted The Miz.
Now that Miz and Bo Dallas are once again back on the same stage, it's Uncle Howdy who seems to have an upper hand over Miz at the moment. The Wyatt Sicks faction had been teasing retribution against The Miz for some time now for betraying his partner, R-Truth.
It seems Uncle Howdy would now seek to render justice to R-Truth by teaching The A-Lister and company a lesson for their past actions.
